Heard learned Advocates for the parties. This application is for condonation of delay of 1543 days caused in filing cross-objection in appeal. Since the cross-objection is by the original claimants, whose property came to be acquired in an acquisition proceeding, this Court is inclined to allow this application. However, it is necessary to take care of the interest of the acquiring body.

Hence, this Civil Application is allowed. Delay is condoned. Office to register the Cross-objection.

The applicants to file an undertaking in the cross-objection that in-case the cross-objection is allowed and amount of compensation is enhanced, they shall not be entitled to receive any statutory benefits and interest for the delayed period on the amount enhanced, if any.
