Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader appearing for the State and learned counsel appearing for Respondent No.5.

Respondent No.5 has filed Affidavit.

In the light of the averments made in the affidavit, in our opinion, the reliefs claimed in terms of prayer clauses "B"

and "C" cannot be granted.

So far as prayer clause "D" is concerned, learned Government Pleader appearing for the State submits that the concerned Committee will take decision about the entitlement of the petitioners for allotment of the land, as claimed by the petitioners, within eight weeks from today.

In that view of the matter, the Petition stands disposed of.

We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion about the entitlement of the petitioners for the said land and it is for the Committee to take the decision on its own merit.
