Heard. The Trial Court had suspended the substantive sentence of imprisonment till the date of filing of the appeal. The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 354-A(i) of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one year and to pay fine of Rs.1000/-, in default to undergo rigorous imprisonment for three months. The applicant has also been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 11(i) read with 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for two years

and to pay fine of Rs.1000/-, in default to undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months. It will take time for the appeal to come up for hearing. It is reported that the fine amount has been paid.

Considering the quantum of sentence imposed and the fact that the applicant had been on bail pending trial, the substantive sentences of imprisonment to stand suspended pending the appeal and the applicant be released on bail on his executing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand) with one surety in the like amount.
