The petitioner who possesses a tribe certificate of 'Koli Mahadev' scheduled tribe is aggrieved by the decision of the respondent - scrutiny committee, whereby, it has confiscated and cancelled it on the ground that the certificate contains incorrect description of the tribe name. He submitted a requisite application online with the respondent - competent authority for issuance of a fresh tribe certificate with a correct nomenclature but the matter is not being considered. 3.

We dispose of the petition directing the petitioner to approach the respondent - Scrutiny Committee within one week. The committee shall hand over the original tribe certificate having incorrect 1/2

924.WP.12209.24.odt nomenclature of the tribe name to the petitioner. The petitioner shall thereafter surrender it before the respondent No.3 - competent authority within a week thereafter and the respondent No.3 shall issue him a fresh certificate with correct spelling of the nomenclature of the tribe within a week thereafter.
