CORAM : RAVINDRA V. GHUGE AND Y. G. KHOBRAGADE, JJ.

DATE : 12.06.2024 PER COURT :- 1.

The learned AGP has placed before us a communication dated 11.06.2024, issued by the District Supply Officer, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, informing him that because of the change in policy, there has been no allotment of self quota kerosene to the dealers for many years and such distribution of kerosene has been long stopped. The said letter is accompanied by a compilation of documents (7 pages). The same is marked as "X" for identification.

(( 3 )) 67-WP-11222-2014+++ 2.

The Government Resolution dated 01.08.2018 is also placed on record and the learned AGP is under instructions to state that because of the change in policy, the cause put forth in these Petitions including the PIL, would not survive. 3.

In view of the above, the learned Advocates for the Petitioners submit that these Petitions can be disposed off as being infructuous. Shri Thombre, however, submits that his PIL may not be disposed off.

4.

We are of the view that it would be an academic exercise to keep the PIL pending. In view of above, all these Petitions including the PIL and Contempt Petition, stand disposed off as being infructuous. Civil Applications, if any, do not survive and stand disposed off.
