Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The submission is the petitioner has completed B.A., D.Ed. and B.Ed. courses and still he is prosecuting the further courses in his academic career. The petitioner belongs to category of 'Kulekadgi' community. It is further submitted that in his school record a reference is made to 'Kudmude' instead of 'Kulekadagi'. The petitioner had approached the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Nanded by submitting representation on 20.03.2018 requesting the authority to effect change in his transfer certificate by recording social status of the petitioner as a candidate

( 2 ) belonging to 'Kulekadagi'. Learned counsel submits that representation/application is pending before the authority till date for decision and the authority be directed to decide the representation/application within stipulated time period.

Learned counsel further submitted that in view of the provision of Secondary School Code and more particularly Section III, Rules 26.3, 26.4 read with Appendix six read with form No.3 the authority by exercising its power can effect such a change. 3.

This being limited grievance raised in the petition, the petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent No.4 the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Nanded to decide the application/representation dated 20.03.2018 as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of order of this Court, needless to state on merits of the representation/application.

With this direction, the petition is disposed of.
