The communication dated 18.10.2016 issued by the respondent no.2 - District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad, Beed to the petitioner refusing to release the amount of grant-in-aid may please be set aside, by issuing appropriate writ, order or direction. C.

The respondents may please be directed to forthwith sanction and release the amount of grant-inaid to the petitioner for the academic years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, by issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of writ of mandamus.

D.

Pending hearing and final disposal of this Writ Petition, the respondents may please be directed to

forthwith sanction and release the amount of grant-inaid to the petitioner for the academic years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.

Any other suitable and equitable relief may please be granted in favour of the petitioner." 2.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that this petition has been filed for quashing the communication dated 18-10-2016, by which the District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad, Beed, has refused to release the amount of grant-in-aid to the petitioner society by name Vaishnavdevi Shikshan Prasarak Bahuddeshiya Mandal, Kallam, District Osmanabad. 3.

The learned advocate representing the intervenor, who was permitted to be added as respondent No.3, submits that the Zilla Parishad, Beed, through it's Chief Accounts and Finance Officer, has already issued two cheques for amounts of Rs.4,05,000/- and Rs.1,35,000/-, dated 09-12-2016 and 19-01-2018, respectively, for a total amount of Rs.4,40,000/-. Copies of the cheques dated 0912-2016 and 19-01-2018 are taken on record and marked as 'X-1' and 'X-2' respectively, for identification. These amounts have been deposited in the account of the petitioner society on 09-12-2016 which is after the filing of this petition on 17-11-2016. 4.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We grant liberty to the petitioner to seek redressal of their grievance, if

any.

The pending civil application would not survive and stands disposed off.
