This is an application for extension of time to deposit the amount under award.

The appeal is by owner of the vehicle who is solely held liable for payment of compensation. According to the learned Counsel for the applicant, he could not deposit the amount under award within a period of six weeks as directed by this Court vide order dated 16th October 2015. The reasons stated are to the effect that the applicant is a poor agriculturist.

The learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant will deposit an amount of Rs. 2,25,000/- within a period of one week from today.

In view of the statement made by the learned Counsel appearing for the applicant, the applicant is permitted to deposit amount of Rs. 2,25,000/-, in this Court within a period of one week from today. Time to deposit the remaining amount under the award is extended till 1st February 2016.
