Present petition has been filed for issuing directions to respondent No.2 to decide petitioner's appeal which is pending with him since 11.10.2024.

After waiving notice for all the respondents, learned APP is producing written instructions in the form of photo copy stating that the machinery is busy with the elections and the appeal would be decided within six weeks. Those instructions are taken on record by marking Exh. 'A'.

12_Cri.WP_1876_2024 It is to be noted that the appeal appears to have been filed on 11.10.2024 and it is received to respondent No.2 on 14.11.2024 and it is then pending. At that time though the election was declared, the reason of election cannot be considered as a reasonable ground, as the election is on 20.11.2024 and counting would be on 23.11.2024. Under such circumstance, three weeks period would be sufficient for deciding the appeal by respondent No.2.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent No.2 to decide the appeal filed by the present petitioner dated 11.10.2024 within a period of three weeks from today.
