Heard learned advocate appearing for petitioners in all these petitions and the learned AGP.

The petitioners, claiming themselves to be project affected persons, are seeking the benefit of allotment of residential plots, pursuant to the provisions of the Maharashtra Project Affected Persons Resettlement and Rehabilitation Act and the government policies. 3.
The learned advocate for the petitioners submit that the petitioners' application is pending with the respondents since long. No decision is being taken regarding allotment and in the meanwhile, the other villagers are also now putting up claims against the vacant plots. He submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if direction is given to the respondents to take appropriate decisions on the petitioners' application, for allotment of plots.

We dispose of the writ petitions by directing the respondent Nos. 3 and 4 to take appropriate decision on the petitioners' application pending with the respondents, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within eight weeks.
5.
If the petitioners' application are not traceable in the office of the respondent Nos. 3 and 4, the petitioners may co-operate and submit copy of the application/s.
