The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in terms of the provisions of Section 59 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 remedy lies before the Collector as observed by the Additional Collector.

In view of the same, present writ petition is disposed off on the ground that the alternate remedy is available. The petitioners are at liberty to file an application before the Collector under the provisions of Section 59 and it is for the Collector to decide the said application on its own merits in accordance with law.
