The competent authority for National Highway No.6, Deputy Collector, Land Acquisition, Dhule, has intimated the District Collector that the present petitioner is related to him and, therefore, the proceedings should not be placed before his office. 2.

We, therefore, direct the District Collector to follow the due procedure laid down in law and bring this aspect to the notice of the appropriate authorities in order to initiate appropriate steps for designating a particular officer to deal with such proceedings.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed off.

Considering the earlier order of this Court dated 26.07.2023 passed in Writ Petition No.8480 of 2023, after the competent authority is designated, he would decide the proceedings within ninety [90] days.
