The learned counsel appearing for State Election Commission has pointed out that the process of election has already commenced and the stage of acceptance of nomination papers is ongoing. In this view of the matter, no interference is called in the midst of the process of election, in exercise of extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Keeping the option of the petitioner to avail the remedies available in law at an appropriate stage open, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
