Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Petitioner is aggrieved by defective tribe certificate issued by the respondent No. 2/Sub Divisional Officer, Majalgaon, Dist. Beed. He belongs to the scheduled tribe 'Koli Mahadev'. He was issued with certificate on 13.08.2013 by the respondent No. 2. The claim of the petitioner is that the certificate issued to him is not in prescribed Proforma C and in view of Government Circular dated 22.06.2016, the certificate has to be issued in Proforma C as appended to the Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though application for issuing correct certificate is submitted physically

2 wp 12592.24 on 14.08.2024, his client is ready to submit online application to the respondent No. 2.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that if online application is submitted by the petitioner, then the Competent Authority is ready to consider the grievance of the petitioner.

The petitioner shall submit online application to the respondent No. 2 within two (02) weeks from today for issuance of tribe certificate in the prescribed Proforma C. Simultaneously, he shall surrender original tribe certificate to the respondent No.

2. On receiving the application of the petitioner and surrender of earlier tribe certificate, the respondent No. 2/Sub Divisional Officer, Majalgaon shall issue corrected tribe certificate in the prescribed Proforma C to the petitioner as contemplated by the Act and the Rules within two (02) weeks thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of.
