Heard Shri Rathi, the learned counsel appearing for the applicant and Shri Londhe, the learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 1 to 7. Respondent no.8 though has been duly served, none has caused appearance on his behalf. 3.
For the reasons stated in the application, delay of 14 days caused in filing the appeal is condoned. The CA for condonation of delay is disposed of. The appeal be registered in accordance with law.

On registration of the appeal, issue notice to the respondents, returnable after six weeks. Shri Londhe, learned counsel waives service of notice for respondent nos. 1 to 7.

Since the challenge raised in the present appeal by the insurance company is about the quantum of compensation, the service to respondent no.8 i.e. the owner of the offending vehicle is exempted. Service is completed 5.
