The learned advocate for the applicant-original respondent-wife moved an application to permit her to withdraw an amount of Rs. 1,70,000/- deposited by the petitioner-husband in this court towards arrears of maintenance, for which the learned advocate for the respondent-husband has given no objection. 2.

Having considered the reasons disclosed in the application and no objection of the respondent as well as the fact that the petition filed by the respondent-husband has been dismissed today, in my view, the applicant-wife is entitled to get the said arrears of maintenance amount as prayed.

Consequently, the criminal application is allowed. The applicant-wife is permitted to withdraw an amount of Rs. 1,70,000/- along with accrued interest thereon from this court. 4.

The learned Registrar (J.) is directed to transmit the said amount to the bank account of the applicant-wife within six weeks on her furnishing the bank account details to the registry. 5.

The criminal application stands disposed of.
