The present petitioners had earlier filed Writ Petitions bearing Nos.11953 of 2016, 12023/2016 and 11956/2016. All these Writ Petitions were disposed of under order dated 20.4.2017 declaring that the awards dated 20.3.1987 and 24.1.1992 to the extent of the petitioners stand lapsed. The learned counsel submits that the letters were issued to the Respondents to give calculation of the interest amount which the petitioners are liable to pay, however, no response was given. The learned counsel submits that on 10.10.2017, the amount of compensation received by the petitioners along with 6% interest was forwarded to the Respondent authority.
The same is not accepted.
Thereafter, on 18.4.2018, the petitioners have forwarded the cheque of the amount of compensation received by the petitioners with interest at the rate of 6% p.a.

The Respondents shall verify the amount receivable as per order of this Court dated 20.4.2017 in W.P.No.11953/2016 with connected Writ Petitions and shall verify the amount of compensation with interest receivable. It shall not refuse to accept the same on the ground that three (3) months time as per the order dated 20.4.2017 stand lapsed. The Respondents shall accept the same. On payment of complete amount, naturally, the order passed earlier would be operative.

The Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
