By this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a limited relief, namely, that his caste claim, which has been pending before the Caste Scrutiny Committee since 23/07/2018, be expedited. 3.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in employment and apprehends that his service is likely to be terminated solely on the ground that his caste claim is pending adjudication, we are inclined to issue direction.

The respondent-Caste Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of six months from today. 5.

Until the petitioner's caste claim is decided, the employer shall not take any coercive action against the petitioner solely on the ground that the caste claim is pending.
