In normal course, the matter would lie before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. The learned counsel submits that the only relief claimed by the petitioner is that the respondents have not yet considered the application filed by the petitioner for issuance of appointment order on compassionate ground and said application be decided.

The learned AGP accepts the notice for the respondents/State. 3.

In case the application filed by the petitioner in the year 2019 seeking appointment on compassionate ground is pending with the respondents, and if respondent No. 2 is competent to decide it, then respondent No. 2 shall decide the same on its own merits in accordance with law and policy preferably within a period of six months.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
