PER COURT :- 1) Since the process of elections to Cantonment Board, Aurangabad is already over, the issue raised in the instant petition is rendered of merely an academic interest. In this view of the matter, this Court need not exercise its extra-ordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for deciding issues which are merely of academic importance.

2) With liberty to the petitioner to take up appropriate remedies, as permissible under law, the petition stands disposed of. Pending civil applications, if any, do not survive and the same are disposed of.
