Versus

The State of Maharashtra & others ...

Respondents Mr. R.A. Jaiswal, Advocate for the Petitioner. Mr. S.W. Munde, AGP for Respondents no. 1 to 4. Coram : N.M. Jamdar, J.

Date : 28 November 2018.

Oral Order :

dyb 2 WP12998-18dt 28-11-2018 1.

By these petitions, the petitioner is challenging the order passed by the learned Minister in proceedings under the Land Revenue Code. The impugned order arises from correction in the revenue record.

2.

It is settled and repeated in numerous orders passed by this Court that the entries in revenue record are for fiscal purpose and do not confer substantive right and these proceedings are also not for adjudication of substantive rights. Yet, every order passed in these proceedings is routinely challenged by way of writ petition in this Court.

3.

It is informed that civil suit is pending between the parties. Concerned entries in the revenue record will be obviously subject to the outcome of the pending civil suit. 4.

Writ petitions are accordingly disposed of.
