The petitioner is before this Court being aggrieved by the order of the District Consumer Redressal Forum, Latur dated 06/03/2018 by which, he was directed to deposit an amount of Rs.1,05,000/-. The petitioner preferred a Revision Petition No.6/2018 before the State Dispute Redressal Commission, Aurangabad, which was rejected by order dated 05/09/2018 on the ground that a revision cannot be entertained u/s 70 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

The petitioner has deposited the said amount of Rs.1,05,000/- in this Court pursuant to the order of this Court dated 25/01/2019. khs/JUNE 2019/1014

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. The Registry is directed to expeditiously transmit the amount of Rs.1,05,000/- alongwith accrued interest, if any, to the District Consumer Redressal Forum, Latur, which is ex-officio Appellate Tribunal under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Forum at Latur on 15/07/2019. The respondents shall also cause an appearance on the same date and formal notices need not be issued by the learned Forum.
