Respondent no.2 - Admissions Regulating Authority has taken a decision to protect the admissions of 40 students who were admitted as per the programme of admission declared on 29.10.2016, until 3.00 p.m. on 31.10.2016, and has denied the claim of the petitioner for granting admissions to other 46 students who were stated to have been admitted under the spot admission round after 5.00 p.m. on 31.10.2016.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner states that amongst 46 students admitted under the spot admission round, names of 7 students find place in the merit list disclosed on 31.10.2016 and their admissions may be protected.

It would be open for the petitioner to make appropriate representation to respondent no.2 - Admissions Regulating Authority and if such representation is made together with the list of students and necessary information that may be called from respondent no.2 - Admissions Regulating Authority, respondent no.2 shall consider the same in accordance with the relevant regulations.

It would be open for the students whose admissions have not been approved by respondent no.2 - Admissions Regulating Authority, to participate in the further round of admission. 6.
The learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the Writ Petition.

Leave granted. The petition stands disposed of as withdrawn.
