CORAM : R.M. BORDE & SMT. VIBHA KANKANWADI, JJ.

DATE : 04TH DECEMBER 2017

(Order) (2) W.P. No. 13294 of 2017 ORAL ORDER [Per R.M. Borde, J.] :

01.

The petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to respondent no.02 to include her name in the list of candidates for the purposes of holding an interview for the post of President / Member of District Child Welfare Committee, Aurangabad, in pursuance to the advertisement issued on 27.05.2017. 02.

It is the contention of the petitioner, that she tendered an application to the Commissioner, Women & Child Development, Maharashtra State, Pune, on 03.06.2017. However, her name has not been included in the list of candidates eligible to participate in the process of selection. The petitioner contends that she is eligible and fulfills all the requirements noted in the advertisement issued by the State Government on 27.05.2017. 03.

Learned Addl. Government Pleader appearing for respondents, on instructions, informs that the petitioner was expected to tender application in the prescribed format and recording all details together with necessary documents to the concerned District Women and Child Development Officer within 15 days from the date of publication of the advertisement. However, the petitioner failed to tender application in prescribed format. The purpose for tendering application in prescribed format to the District Women and Child Development Officer is that the said authority is required to make scrutiny of the

(Order) (3) W.P. No. 13294 of 2017 application and forward the same together with the comments / opinion of the said authority to the Commissioner of Women and Child Development, Pune. 04.

In the instant matter, since the petitioner did not tender the application in prescribed format recorded in the advertisement dated 27.05.2017, her name has not been included and rightly so, in the list of candidates eligible to participating in the selection process. It is further informed that the interviews for the post of President / Member of District Child Welfare Committee, Aurangabad, are already over and claim of the petitioner cannot be considered at the belated stage.

05.

For the foregoing reasons, the writ petition is devoid of substance and same is dismissed. ( Smt. Vibha Kankanwadi ) ( R.M. Borde ) JUDGE JUDGE ...........
