The petitioners' licences issued under the Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940 have been cancelled by the impugned orders. They have preferred appeals but those are not being decided expeditiously and the petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that due to cancellation of licences they have not been able to continue with the business.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 1 to decide the petitioners' appeals, as expeditiously as possible and in any event within 12 weeks from today.
