The petition is filed for termination of pregnancy. The petitioner No. 1 was referred to the Committee constituted by the Government Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The Committee has examined the petitioner No. 1 and submitted its report. The report reads thus :

The Committee has thoroughly examined Sampada @ Samriddhi w/ o Vijay Joshi and her obstetric Songraphy report. On obstetric ultrasonography dated 07.11.2019 done at GMC, Aurangabad. Following findings are noted.

a.

Length of Pregnancy : Gestational Age of 23 weeks 04

b.

Single live intrauterine fetus with complex cardiac anomaly with VSD, common arterial trunk and aortic arch on right side of trachea.

Considering the above findings there is substantial risk to the fetus if born. Hence this Committee recommends termination of pregnancy. Pregnancy can be terminated at Government recognized centre of choice of patient with due risk to mother and the risk is explained to her and her relatives.

The expert's Committee has opined that, there is substantial risk to the fetus if born. Hence the Committee recommends termination of the pregnancy. The risk has been explained to the petitioner No. 1 and her relatives. 3.

Mr. Deshmukh, the learned advocate along with Mr. Walujkar, the learned counsel submits that, the risk is explained to the petitioners and petitioners desire to proceed with the termination of pregnancy of the petitioner No. 1. 4.

In view of the opinion of the expert Committee, the petitioner No. 1 is permitted to terminate the pregnancy at the Government recognized centre. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
