Advocate for Respondents 1 : Shri S.K.Adkine. ...
CORAM: RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.
DATE :- 08th January, 2016 Per Court:
The Applicant was the sole Respondent in Writ Petition No.4090/2003 which was decided by this Court by the judgment dated 07.08.2015. Despite service and sufficient opportunities, the Applicant had not participated in the hearing in writ petition. The learned Advocate for the Applicant submits that this Court despite the absence of the present Applicant in the hearing in Writ Petition, had considered his interest and had granted him liberty to raise an industrial dispute under Section 2A of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 within a period of eight weeks from the date of the judgment 07.08.2015.
*2* 916.ca.133.16 Since the Applicant was absent in the hearing, he got knowledge of the said liberty through another former co-worker. Hence, this application for extension of time.
Shri Adkine, learned Advocate for the original Petitioner, vehemently opposes this application. The submission is that the reasons cited are not satisfactory.
Considering the submissions of the learned Advocates and the contentions set out in the application, the same is allowed. Time granted by this Court in the judgment dated 07.08.2015 passed in Writ Petition No.4090/2003, is extended by FOUR WEEKS from today. kps (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.)
