The petitioners have already presented an appeal to the Minister Level Committee constituted under the Government Resolution dated 12.3.2013 and the appeal/representation is stated to be pending. In the facts of the case, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Minister Level Committee to take decision on the representation/appeal tendered by the petitioners, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from today and it is accordingly directed.

In the mean while, if the possession of the sand spot is not already handed over to the contractor, the same shall not be handed over and permission for excavation of sand shall be subject to the orders those may be passed by the Minister Level Committee.
