The learned A. G. P. states that he has received instructions from the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division stating that within three months the proposal for acquisition under the new Act would be submitted to the Collector.

The said statement is accepted.

On submission of the said proposal the proceedings under Land Acquisition Act shall be initiated expeditiously. On receipt of the said proposal the Respondent / State shall initiate the said proceedings within a period of three months from the receipt of the said proposal. As it is submitted that, the Respondent No. 4 would submit the proposal within three months for land acquisition under the new Act and we have directed the State to

2 WP375.16 initiate the proceedings for land acquisition within three months on receipt of the said proposal, the condition directing respondents to deposit Rs. 4,00,000/- (Rs. Four Lakhs only) in this Court is waived.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
