CORAM : R.G. AVACHAT AND ABASAHEB D. SHINDE, JJ.

DATE : 10th OCTOBER, 2025 O R D E R :

Heard. The petitioners claim to have belonged to "Thakur", Scheduled Tribe. Their tribe certificates have been invalidated by the respondent No.1 Scrutiny Committee. They are, therefore, before us in these petitions. 2.

The fact is that, the blood relations (cousin uncles) have been granted validity certificates pursuant to the directions issued by this Court on 8/8/2024, in Writ Petition No.8021/2024. Nothing otherwise has been shown for us to take a different view than the one taken to grant conditional validity certificates to the blood relations of the petitioners. We are, therefore, inclined to follow the same view. Hence the order :

O R D E R

(i) The Writ Petitions are partly allowed.

(ii) The impugned orders are quashed and set aside. (iii) The respondent No.1 Scrutiny Committee shall

immediately issue certificates of validity to the petitioners of "Thakur", Scheduled tribe in prescribed proforma without incorporating any conditions. (iv) The certificates of validity would be subject to the outcome of reverification undertaken by the Committee of the validity holder.

(v) The petitioners shall not be entitled to claim equities. (vi) Civil Application No.695/2025 stands disposed of. (ABASAHEB D. SHINDE, J.) (R.G. AVACHAT, J.) fmp/-
