This petition is pending since 2018 and still not being worked out. By order dated 24th July 2025, this Court adjourned the matter for today, by way of last chance. It was also made clear that even if none appears for the petitioner, this Court will proceed to decide the matter. Inspite of such order, none appears for the petitioner today. 2.

The only prayer in this petition is to adjust the amount of maintenance granted under Sections 125 and 127 of the Cr.P.C. against the amount of permanent alimony granted to the respondent in a Ethape

( 2 ) 24-WP-1641-2018 proceeding under Section 18 of the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956. It is always open for the petitioner to make such a prayer in the appropriate proceedings. No order as such is challenged in the present petition. Darkhast is pending in the Court of learned Civil Judge Senior Division, Jalgaon. The petition can be disposed off with a clarification.

Criminal Writ Petition stands dismissed.

It is clarified that it is open for the petitioner to make appropriate prayer to adjust the amount of maintenance awarded in the proceeding under Sections 125 and 127 of Cr.P.C. in the amount of permanent alimony granted under Section 18 of the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act.
