Learned counsel Mr. Menezes appearing for the applicant seeks discharge of appearance and states that applicant has engaged Mr. Sikchi as his advocate. Whereas learned counsel for respondent No. 2 Mr. S.A. Deshpande states that respondent No. 2 has engaged Mr. Deshmukh as a counsel and he also seeks discharge. 2.

As such, learned counsel for applicant and respondent No. 2 stand discharged from appearance on behalf of applicant and respondent No. 2, respectively in present Criminal Application. 3.

The petition has been moved for quashing of FIR lodged in the 2006 by wife against her husband. The couple had got married way

29CA3723.19 back in the year 2002. Some problem had arisen in the year 2016 and the allegations were made by wife against her husband. The parties are present before us in person and identified by their respective advocates. The parties have referred to that they have amicably resolved the dispute between them and they have been residing together again after separation for about only three months. Therefore, they want disposal of the present application. 4.

All these gives indication that further prosecution of the present proceeding is unlikely to lead to its logical end and would be an exercise in futility and abuse of process of law. 5.
