Te learned counsel for the petitioner states that the group of petitions was disposed on 26 November 2018 wherein the parties withdrew their petitions to pursue the alternate remedy of filing election petitions. In the common order passed this petition was not reflected. Te learned counsel appearing for the State Election Commission confirms that the petition was on board and it was withdrawn.

Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed to be withdrawn to enable the petitioner to pursue the alternate remedy of filing election

Tough the order of withdrawal is passed today, it is in the above circumstances and that the order of withdrawal ought to have been passed on 26 November 2018.
