1] Leave to amend is granted.

2] The petitioner wants to change her date of birth from 5.7.1995 to 5.12.1995. For that purpose, she made a representation to respondent no.2, through college, which is not yet decided.

3] Under the Secondary School Code, if a student has passed out from the school and if he wants to effect any

WP 12723/16 - 2 - change in the date of birth recorded in the school, he has to file an application under Rule 26.4. The procedure for filing such an application is prescribed in the Code. 4] We direct the petitioner to make a separate application to the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Aurangabad. If such an application is received by the Education Officer, the same shall be decided within a period of four weeks from the date of its receipt.

5] With these directions, the petition is disposed of. No costs.
