Heard the learned advocate for the petitioner and the learned A.G.P. who appears for respondent Nos.1 to 4. 2.

The petitioner is seeking correction of the school register purportedly in the light of Clause 26.4 of the Secondary School Code. The proposal was forwarded by respondent No.5/ Headmaster on 18/10/2021 to respondent No.4 Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Jalna. It appears that, subsequently, there is a further

601.25wp (2) correspondence indulged by the Education Officer with respondent Nos.2 and 3 and there is also a correspondence inter se between respondent Nos.2 and 3. Finally, by the communication dated 07/09/2022, respondent No.3/Deputy Director of Education, Aurangabad has called upon the Education Officer (Secondary) to submit a complete proposal.

In the light of above, we dispose of the writ petition directing respondent No.4 to take appropriate decision and submit the requisite proposal, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of four weeks.
