The application given by the petitioner for correction of the spelling of the name of his father in the HSC & SSC certificates is rejected on the ground that the petitioner has left the school. The petitioner has completed 12th std. just about one year back. 2.

Considering the factum of the present case, the Education Officer shall consider the application forwarded to it for correction in the record of HSC & SSC and School Leaving Certificates on its own

2 84wp13597.2018 merits. He shall not reject it only on the ground that the petitioner has left the school. It is not a case of change of name but the change of spelling of the name of the petitioner's father. The Education Officer shall consider the case on its own merits and then refer it to the Board and or the authorities as per the Rule 26.4 r/w Appendix 6 of the Second School Code.
