The learned counsel submits that by order dated 12.10.2023 the vehicle of the petitioner is impounded and penalty is imposed. The learned AGP submits that the alternate remedy of appeal is available to the petitioner.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appellate authority challenging the impugned order, so also, to to seek release of the vehicle by filing the interim application in the appeal.

In the event, the said application is filed in the pending appeal, the appellate authority to decide the application for release of the vehicle within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of filing of the application. The authority to decide the same in accordance with law.
