The proposals seeking approval to the appointments of the petitioners are rejected on the ground that for the academic year 2018-2019 three posts of assistant teachers became vacant. 2.

On the last date, we had asked the learned Assistant Government Pleader to take instructions in which year the posts

2 wp 13888.19 were reduced. Affidavit has been filed. According to the learned A. G. P. posts of three Assistant Teachers stood reduced in the academic year 2018-2019.

The staffing pattern as applicable for the year 2013-2014 would be relevant to be considered.

In the light of the above, the impugned orders are quashed and set aside. The Education Officer shall reconsider the proposals seeking approval to the appointments of the petitioners considering staffing pattern as it stood for the academic year 2013-2014. So also the Education Officer shall consider the order passed in earlier writ petitions filed by petitioners bearing Writ Petition No. 5798 of 2017 and Writ Petition No. 5771 of 2017 decided under order dated 18.06.2018. Said decision shall be taken expeditiously and preferably within a period of four (04) months from today.

In view of the above, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
