Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned A.P.P.

By way of this petition, the petitioner is seeking direction to the respondents to shift his father i.e. Raosaheb Narayan Shelke (Convict No.8446) undergoing his life imprisonment in Central Jail, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, to the private hospital immediately.

Learned APP, on instructions, submits that the said convict suffered severe cardiac arrest on 13.11.2025 and at present he is in Intensive Care Unit of the Government Medical College and Hospital at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, for taking medical treatment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that considering the severe cardiac arrest sustained by the said convict, the petitioner wants to shift him to a private hospital, preferrably Kamal Nayan Bajaj Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, immediately.

Learned APP, considering the danger to the life of convict, fairly submits that if the convict is shifted to the aforesaid hospital, then the petitioner will have to pay necessary charges of the hospital and also the expenses of police squad. The petitioner is ready for the same.

Under such circumstances and considering the gravity, the respondents are directed to shift Mr. Narayan Raosaheb Shelke (Convict No. 8446) to Kamal Nayan Bajaj Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for further medical treatment forthwith, at the cost of petitioner and also the expenses to be incurred by petitioner for necessary police squqd. 7.
The petition is accordingly disposed of.
