The petitioner which runs residential school for mentally challenged children has been awaiting decision of the respondents regarding sanction of additional post of teaching and non-teaching staff. The proposal is awaiting decision at the hands of the respondent Nos.1 and 2 since 2013-2014.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that similar request of three schools one at Shirpur District Dhule another at Mohol District Solapur and the third one from Tq. Jalgaon Jamod Dist. Buldhana have been accepted by Government Resolution dated 13.11.2023. He places it on record and marked 'X' for the purpose of identification. 4.
If the respondents have been considering similar requests, it would be appropriate that even the request of the petitioner is considered and decided on its own merits in accordance with the policy and law. 5.
We dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent No.1 to take appropriate decision on the proposal forwarded by the respondent No.2 (Exhibit - J) as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks.
