Present petition has been filed for issuing directions to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal pending before respondent No.2 from 09.10.2024 within stipulated period.

After waiving notice for respondent Nos.1 to 4, learned APP places on record communication to him by respondent No.2 which is taken on record by marking Exh. 'A', wherein respondent No.2 has sought adjournment of six weeks. Learned APP submits that he has also oral instructions to state that the appeal would be decided within six weeks.

918_Cri.WP_1980_2024 It is to be noted that the appeal is pending since 09.10.2024, wherein the challenge is to the rejection of the parole leave application of the petitioner. We are of the view that four weeks time is sufficient in such matter to dispose of the matter. Therefore, we dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent No.2 to decide the appeal of petitioner within a period of four weeks from today.
