Patil, Advocate for the Petitioners Mr. Y.G. Gujrathi, A.G.P. for respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 4 Mr. S.T. Shelke, Advocate for respondent No. 3 ---- CORAM :
R.M. BORDE AND SANGITRAO S. PATIL, JJ.
DATE : 15th December, 2016 PER COURT :
Heard.
2.
The petitioners are objecting to the orders relating to the delimitation of the Panchayat Samiti blocks and re-consideration of reservation for holding of elections.
3.
The petitioners did not raise any objection to the provisional delimitation. The individuals, who raised the objection, are not before the Court, raising any grievance. Apart from this, the orders have been issued in respect of delimitation by the Divisional Commissioner, preserving the geographical continuity of the blocks as well as considering the aspect of
wp12335-2016 maintaining of average population ratio of electoral block. We do not find the order passed by the Divisional Commissioner to be arbitrary or unreasonable. 4.
In exercise of extraordinary jurisdiction conferred upon this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, no interference is called for in the ongoing process of election. The Writ Petition is devoid of substance and hence, stands rejected. [SANGITRAO S. PATIL] [R.M. BORDE] JUDGE JUDGE npj/wp12335-2016
