The petitioners are seeking one step up pay scale in the light of the policy of the government for working in the Tribal/PESA area according to the government resolution dated 06.08.2002 and circular dated 29.02.2024.

In several matters, this court issued directions to the respondents to consider the similar cases on their own merits and to undertake requisite process to the extent of the persons who are found entitled to derive the benefit under the aforementioned government resolution and circular.

We dispose of the writ petition directing respondent No.5 to examine eligibility of each of the petitioners on their own merits and within the parameters laid down in the government resolution dated 06.08.2002 and circular dated 29.02.2024 and if and to the extent the petitioners who are found entitled to have one step up pay scale, to undertake the process for its disbursement.
