Mr. Barlinge, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is seeking deemed date of promotion. His junior was given the earlier date of promotion.

The learned A.G.P. submits that the petitioner can approach the grievance committee constituted U/Sec. 79 of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.

In view of that, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternate remedy. All contentions are kept open. No costs.
