PER COURT:

1] There is a prayer to allow this application on the basis of amicable settlement between the parties. We have carefully perused the FIR. The alleged offences are punishable under Section 326 of IPC. In that view of the matter, in view of the exposition of law, in the matter of Gian Sigh Vs. State of Punjab and others reported in (2013)1 SCC 160, and in particular, para.58 thereof, we are not inclined to quash the FIR on the basis of settlement between the parties. In that view of the matter, said prayer stands rejected. Even otherwise, on merits also, we are not inclined for quashing the FIR.
