DATE : JANUARY 06, 2023 ORDER :- This is an application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing R.C.C. No.481 of 2013, pending on the file of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhule. 2.

Heard the applicant, who is appearing in person and learned APP for respondent no.1.

The trial in the criminal proceedings has commenced. The applicant states that the trial is not being concluded despite the directions given.

Learned APP states that the complainant is being crossexamined by the applicant in person since last ten hearings. He submits that the delay is caused by the applicant and not due to any other reason.

We advised the applicant to engage a lawyer before the trial court so as to conclude the trial expeditiously. The suggestion is not agreeable to the applicant. Since the applicant is himself responsible for the delay, we are not inclined to quash the proceedings solely on the ground of delay. The other grounds raised in the present application need to be considered at the stage of trial. 6.

In the circumstances, the application has no merit. The same is rejected.
