The petitioner is seeking direction to the respondent - Competent Authority under the Maharashtra Act No.XXIII of 2001 for issuing him a corrected caste/tribe certificate in Form - C, since he possesses it in a incorrect form.

The petitioner has submitted online application on 24.08.2024.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing the petitioner to appear before respondent No.2 - Competent Authority within two weeks and surrender his original caste certificate. On such original being surrendered, respondent No.2 shall issue a fresh caste certificate in Form - C to him within one week of surrendering the original caste certificate.
