During the pendency of this petition, charge sheet is already served upon the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner will file the written statement within one week from today.

The petitioner will extend full cooperation to the respondents to conclude the inquiry early.

The counsel for respondent nos. 2 and 3 submits that in case petitioner extends full cooperation during the inquiry, the inquiry would be completed within three months from today.

In the light of submissions made across the Bar and the fact that charge sheet is already served upon the petitioner, we do not propose to enter into the merits of the contentions raised in this petition. It will be open for the petitioner to take all those contentions in the written statement.

We direct to conclude the inquiry and take decision as expeditiously as possible, however, within three months from today, after receiving the written statement of the petitioner.

Needless to observe, the officer will take the decision in the light of documents/written statement and all other documents, including the evidence, etc. without being influenced by the fact that the petitioner has filed the Writ Petition.

Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
