Learned AGP is tendering photocopy of letter by present respondent no. 2 - Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Nanded, dated 12.12.2024 by tendering the apology. He accepts that he had not taken the decision though directed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 7401/2024 and then, he has taken the decision yesterday that is on 12.12.2024. 2.

The letter is taken on record and marked as exhibit 'A'. Since the decision has been taken strictly, no action is required under the Contempt of Courts Act against respondent no. 2. However, as we are experiencing that after the contempt petition is filed the officers are taking decisions i.e. after the duration which was given to them to take the decision and by tendering apology, they are sending the copy of the decision. 3.

We have perused the order that was passed by this Court in the

said Writ Petition on 18.07.2024, wherein respondent no. 2 was directed to take the decision within a period of four weeks. Till yesterday, he could not get the time to take the decision but when it appears that as he has been informed about the petition, in one day he has taken the decision. Such acts are required to be deprecated. While disposing of the petition, we are directing the superior of respondent no. 2 i.e. Deputy Director of Education Latur, to take note of such delay in the official work done by respondent no.2. 4.

The petition stands disposed of.
