Mr. Sontakke, the learned counsel submits that, the petitioners have filed applications seeking rental compensation. The applications are filed with the respondent No. 1, so also the
3 wp 722.17 acquiring body, but the said amount is not yet paid. 2.
The learned Assistant Government Pleader states that, the applications are not filed with the respondent No. 2. 3.
The applications, it appears that, are filed with the acquiring body and the respondent No. 1/Collector for payment of rental compensation. The petitioners may file applications with the respondent No. 2 seeking rental compensation. On receipt of said applications, the respondent No. 2 shall take decision upon the same on its own merits, in accordance with law after hearing all parties concerned, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from the date of receipt of applications.
